Best Protein Shake For Getting Cut
So you have spent a lot of time and effort bulking up, and now you want to get cut. So which is the best protein shake for getting cut?
A few brands immediately come to mind.
1) GNC or EAS protein powder. 2) Isopure protein powder. 3) Optimum whey protein.
But what do these brands have in common? They all have a high amount of protein per serving, and a very low amount of fat and carbohydrates (approx. 2.5 grams per serving). That means you can continue drink these protein shakes without having to worry about increasing fat in your body.
You should continue drinking shakes when getting cut because you are working out and you need muscle mass to keep your metabolism high and the fat off your body. To get ripped quickly, you may also need to do some adjustments to your workouts.
Continue to lift heavy, but increase the intensity and repeats. The idea here is to keep pumping iron to maintain your bulk, but at the same time, you want to burn more fat.
Alternatively, you can consider adding more cardio exercises to your workout. For instance, instead of just 20 mins cardio twice a week, you can increase the frequency to 45 mins four times a week. You will notice that your body slim down very quickly when you increase cardiovascular exercises.
You have worked hard at building muscle mass, but they won't be visible under a layer of fat. To get ripped, your primary objective is to get rid of this layer of fat. Once your body fat percentage comes down to around 10 to 12%, you will be able to see a huge difference in physical appearance. Bodybuilders go down to single digits (less than 10% body fat) in preparation for bodybuilding competitions. If your primary concern is to get fit, you don't have to go to such extremes. But having 6 packs abs to show is quite an achievement!
