Whey Protein Shake -
Viewing: Here is a question from Jason: If I start using the "six star whey protein elite series" powder today and I do crunches and pushups, how long will it take me to see results? Hi Jason. Thanks for your question. If you are doing crunches and push ups, I assume that you are trying to build up your chest and abs - basically toning your upper body. Drinking six star whey protein elite will certainly help you get results faster. But you must also remember to take them regular - one in the morning, post-workout, and if possible, one in the evening before you go to bed. Also, spend some time to workout how much whey protein you need on a daily basis. As a general guide, you should consume 1 to 1.5 grams of protein for every pound you weight, depending on how big you want to get. You need some experience to determine the exact amount. 1 gram per pound is a good starting point. Bear in mind that for results to show, you must get your body-fat composition down. If you want your abs to show, your body fat composition must go WAY down. That means your diet should help you build muscle AND lose fat at the same time. You can do that by having a high protein, non-fat diet. Watch what you eat. Avoid all junk foods and foods that are fatty and oily. Drinking only non-fat milk. Do not exceed your daily recommended calories. Here is a new calorie calculator that you can use as a guideline. Remember to get plenty of rest and don't stress yourself out. Let the body has ample recovery time. For instance, if Monday is an intense day, go easy on Tuesday, then Wednesday is intense again and so forth. If you can do the above well (which is not easy I might add), you will see promising results within two to three weeks. Weight alone is not a key indicator of progress. You can become fitter and leaner but the scales will show that you still weigh the same, or even heavier. Reason is because muscles weigh more than fat. Don't worry about what you see on the scales. Your waist line will decrease, and your chest will grow bigger. Your abs will also become more visible. Be patient with the lower abs though (the last 2 abs). Those are the slowest to come because the fat in that area is the last to go. With time, you will get a great looking chest and six pack abs!
