Bodybuilding requires a lot of energy from your body and causes stress to your muscles. Therefore, you need to eat well to get enough proteins and nutrition for muscle growth and repair.

Unfortunately, it is not always possible to prepare perfect low-fat meals that will help you achieve your goals. A singular whey protein shake is never enough because whey powders usually only contain whey protein isolates as the primary ingredient. Your body needs other nutrients like vitamins, fiber and carbohydrates to function well.

So what do you do when you find that you don't have enough time for a proper low fat meal? You can always turn to meal replacement shakes.

A quick reminder here - it is NEVER the intention of meal replacement shakes to replace your proper meals. Consume a meal replacement shake ONLY when you really don't have time to prepare a proper meal and you don't want to skip a meal. Never consume more than 2 meal replacement shakes in a single meal - i.e. don't replace more than 2 meals a day with these shakes.

A quality meal replacement shakes usually contain more calories than a conventional shake but less calories than ordinary meals.
